Welcome to St. Mel School

If you're considering a private school education for your child, St. Mel Catholic School has been successfully educating students i grades TK-8th for 57 years. As a Catholic co-educational elementary and junior high school, St. Mel School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and is co-accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) .

Our goal is to educate "the whole child" in an atmosphere of faith, service and academic excellence. Our curriculum fuses current educational and pedagogical innovations with a rigorous traditional academic program. Teachers emphasize a core curriculum, along with Catholic identity and mission, and integrate these into student life through Student Learning Expectations (SLEs).
