My name is Amanda Galli Cruz, and I am the fourth-grade teacher at St. Mel School. I also serve on the school Leadership Team and as the Yearbook Advisor. I grew up in the Bay Area and attended Catholic school from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I earned a BA in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Education from the University of San Francisco.
I began teaching fourth grade in 2014 at Our Lady of Mercy School in Daly City. In 2018, I moved to Rocklin with my husband Jonathan. This is my sixth year at St. Mel School and my eleventh year teaching. I am also a St. Mel parent; my son Jaxson will be in TK this school year.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, baking, and traveling with my family. The classroom is my happy place, and fourth grade is my passion! I love making learning fun and bringing California History to life for our amazing fourth graders.
