Jennifer Nucum-Reyes

Transitional Kindergarten Teacher

Hello! I’m Jennifer Nucum-Reyes, and I’m thrilled to be your Transitional Kindergarten teacher! I grew up on the beautiful island of Guam and earned my degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Guam.

I began my teaching career in 2003 with a Kindergarten/1st grade combination class and later spent 11 amazing years as the Pre-K Director and Teacher at St. John Catholic School in the Diocese of Oakland. After relocating to the Sacramento area in 2016, I had the opportunity to teach at several schools, including Blue Oaks Elementary, Rocklin Academy, and John Adams Academy.

In 2021, I found my true home when I joined St. Mel as the Lead Preschool Teacher, and in 2023, I joyfully transitioned into my current role in Transitional Kindergarten.

Teaching has always been my passion, and Catholic education is truly my calling. In our classroom, we live by the values: Love God, Love Ourselves, and Love Everyone and Everything Around Us. I can’t wait to spend the 2025–2026 school year learning, laughing, and growing together!
