My name is Nicole Ganetsos, and I am the 3rd Grade Teacher at Saint Mel School. This is my fifth year working in the Diocese of Sacramento and my third year teaching 3rd grade. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Oregon in June 2019. After completing my undergraduate studies, I returned to my hometown of Sacramento to pursue my teaching career. I graduated from the University of San Francisco’s Sacramento campus in May 2022 with a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Multiple Subject Credential.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading books, and exploring new Pilates classes and coffee shops. I come from a big Greek family, and my culture and faith are extremely important to me. Growing up, I was actively involved in my church, participating in activities such as Greek dance and Sunday School.
I am passionate about teaching because it allows me to cultivate a love of learning in my students and make a meaningful impact on their lives. My educational philosophy is to create a warm, loving, and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to engage fully and integrate faith-filled formation into all aspects of learning.
